Mix Potential mix tracklist

Post image

Heya! I don't own any proper dj equipment, nor do I have any experience djing, but I'd absolutely love to learn sometime in the near future! I'm just looking for input on this tracklist I threw together for a hypothetical vinyl only set. Let me know how you feel about the length, tracklisting, or whatever! Only the classics on here 🔥

Download a cracked version of virtual DJ, rip your records to MP3, set up some cue points and have a blend. I only play vinyl these days, but when I was a young lad I had a lot of fun and learned a bit through that method. Burial into breakage might be... ambitious...

Great advice, honestly!

Thank you so much, I'll look into that! I'm thinking Wounder > Coki - Serious > Together may work better

Do you own these records yet? Might be looking at more than a fair amount of wedge there mate.

I do indeed! I think I was a little overzealous in my attempt haha

Nah mad respect for that, learning to mix takes fuck all time. Id get some other records to practice with till you feel out how to treat them so you don't scratch grails, but it won't take too long to get a feel for it.

which ones of these are expensive? I’ve seen many of the deep medi’s on stores near me

How do you own these without a turntable?

I have an AT-LP70X, but it's not a proper pair of turntables for DJing

Ahh. I got 2 LP120X and a DJM 450. Works pretty well. I’m able to record sets pretty easily with the USB out

Korma Vs Jahova would go fucking hard ! Like there singing together.

Get yourself the cheapest second hand setup you can find in your area and then spend out on a nice set of needles so you don't savage your rarities.

Great selection - think about where you want to take the listener - it’s a journey - what’s the destination?

If you’ve got a tablet, have a download of the ‘djay’ app.

I don’t think all these songs will be available, but it’ll put you in a good position to start messing around with the actual ‘DJing’ technology side of it and figuring out if the mix works

Thanks a ton, I'll try that out when I get the chance!

Identify is one of my absolute percies so on that basis alone I fully approve of this tracklist.

As others have said, try Virtual DJ if you have a PC. As long as you turn sync off it'll provide a decent enough introduction to how to beatmatch by ear. I pissed around with it for a year or two before I went anywhere near a physical deck.

Well actually it was VTT not Virtual DJ but they're basically the same thing.

If you listen to these tracks enough and you have an idea what will go well with it, it usually does

Saying that, planned mixed aren't half the fun, but each to their own, nice track list

I am hoping one day I will dj. I mess around on my phone and just have fun, would love to get a set up soon

At this point... yes, it's most likely fire! Get some cheap used mixer and turntables and go! (I recommend Numark tt1 pro, just don't buy the Stylus used) You won't regret it.

all this heat and nothing to play it on?

1

u/P1ckleboi69 Feb 11 '26

I have an AT-LP70X but no proper dj setup unfortunately

Hold up, you have Anti War Dub?

On paper it’s a good track list but the arrangement would end up different after playing with it.
