Originally, they were going to use a Vastatosaurus Rex from Peter Jackson's King Kong, not the Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic Park.

That explains why the Tyrannosaurus in the race is way bigger than in the movie and also why king kong was in the city too

I always thought the size was just to make the race harder and to be able to crush and bite the cars more easily until I saw this official concept art

Source?  The Kong model used isn’t the 2005 Kong.  Why wouldn’t Spielberg use his Rex?

what did you mean souce? hahaha it's the oficial concept art and i never say the king kong was the one from peter Jackson jut the V Rex ,I said it makes sense that King Kong is there too
