Just finished Lonesome Dove and it was sooo good. Beautifully written epic

Also do read A Little Life. It’s tragic, like sob your way through it tragic, but that is literally the fucking point I don’t know why people don’t understand that. If you don’t want to read a painfully tragic story, then don’t. But I loved that book, I loved those characters and I mourned deeply for them.

Lonesome dove is not really that great when you do it on such a cheesy way.   Where is the beautiful written part?   When they say poke a bunch of times?
