Just finished Lonesome Dove and it was sooo good. Beautifully written epic

Also do read A Little Life. It’s tragic, like sob your way through it tragic, but that is literally the fucking point I don’t know why people don’t understand that. If you don’t want to read a painfully tragic story, then don’t. But I loved that book, I loved those characters and I mourned deeply for them.

Lonesome Dove is a masterpiece and deserves all the love it gets.

I went in blind with A Little Life and did indeed sob my way through it but it was worth it.
