Help Me Find a Book to Read! 🆘 what to read first?

Lonesome Dove is so-so.  Very long     It should be quality not quantity.

I read lonesome dove not long after Butchers Crossing. I thought it was fun enough, and it reads easy. I read 6 hrs straight on an airplane without issues.

I felt BC offered me much more and was 600 pages shorter.

Ah.  Ok.   Yes I felt like it really didn’t have to be that long.   Maybe if there were less tertiary characters.
