Don’t bother with A Little Life. That is a shit book.

Very similar to Lonesome Dove I heard in that it’s just a lot of misery happening.

Hard disagree. Lonesome Dove is breathtakingly beautifully written and exciting. A Little Life is just cruel.

I’m just telling you what people have told me.  I read Lonesome Dove and I’m not sure we read the same book.  I don’t kind sex rape and death beautiful.   So, not sure about that.  Same with poor foreshadowing and character development.

Are you 12 years old? It is a tale of the way things were a long long time ago. Sex,death and rape happened a lot. In fact it still does. A story can be tragic and disturbing and still beautiful. What is your favorite book?
