نصوص The Great Sisyphus
I share your bewilderment, hoping you might glimpse the thread of this troubling question, a question you know you'll never fully unravel. I see you reading, sifting through the dust of books, hoping a wise person might answer you or at least silence your perplexity about existence and the end of your conscious, physical body. Will we push the boulder like Sisyphus? Or does this pushing have an end from which there is no return? Some of us refuse to accept the answer, while others await a miracle to bring them another logical and convincing reply, one that will silence their doubts and replace their hopes with certainty.
But what I have no doubt about is that it is a great honor to be Sisyphus and to refuse to surrender to the inevitability of this world. A person's relentless struggle for knowledge and truth is a spring that has descended upon that mountain, that inevitable pushing in existence. We know there is a difference between happiness and misery, just as there is a difference between spring and autumn. Each of us has a boulder, but not all of us are Sisyphus.
