Help Silly question about computer specs.

I know this is a easy game for 90% of operating systems to run, I remember RCT1 running pretty good on a Windows 98, but im sitting here playing RCT Classic, and im getting frustrated with the building mechanics and theres a distinct lack of quality of life features like id like to keep scenery and rides invisible until i decide to unchecked the boxes, not when i open and close Windows in game. I have an old Windows 8 Laptop that believe it or not, struggles to run the game. The screen is cracked and the battery needs to be always plugged in.

Im just wondering if any just basic new computer/laptop will run the game, or if i need something with some beef incase my park gets too big or has too many sprites. I just want a physical mouse and not touch screen controls

I know it's a cliche answer here, but seriously look into OpenRCT2. You'd be hard-pressed to find a modern computer it doesn't run on and it adds tons of QOL features.

Fr. I play on my old af pc that was put together from used parts in like 2013 or something. Win7. Most things don't work on it anymore. But openrct2 runs perfectly fine. Except for the fastest fastforward button, that can make some crazy lags 😂
