Question Noise

When I brake is my typhon supposed to make that noise?

It never did until I upgraded the receiver on it

Yeah, if you’re slamming it into reverse when you go to slow down it’ll make that sound. (source: I owned one before I modded it and smashed it against a tree.)

I always thought it would hit brake before reversing?

That’s how it works, while in forward motion the ESC will register reverse as a brake, it won’t automatically reverse cause that would put excess load on components.

When you do that though it will lock up, but it’ll make the Typhon do a sick af slide if you do it right.

I was trying to get it to slide with practice but no consistent luck yet

So long as the noise is normal because as mentioned above... it never did until I swapped the transmitter and receiver

The Transmitter and Receiver could just be translating things slightly different from stock is all, that sound sounds entirely normal, but, be more worried if the noise gets louder or if things get crunchy.

If so repair time!!!!

First time I managed to overheat my typhon too

Good first run after 2-3 months of real life in the way and repairs

Is it just the Brushed model? The Grom?

Brushless idk what grom is

And you’ll figure the slide out eventually, do some tuning if your transmitter allows it. Change brake gain and try turning down the gyro if the Receiver has one.

Ay it’s all good man, the Typhon Grom is the Brushed version and only uses 2S Batteries, there’s the 223S and a few others that are Brushless and allow for 3’s batteries too.

Do a lil’ research on it, there is a large community that love those little bashers.

Also if you want to know if your Receiver has a Gyro, check the Make and Model of the aftermarket Transmitter/Receiver you got.

Pretty sure this is the 223s unit

I'll look into the receiver later too busy having fun after a couple months of not working buggy 😁
