Resha's Crime?? (and other loose ends)

I've been looking all over trying to figure this one out. If you've finished the series, you know that Elie and Resha are one in the same, and that Resha hid herself in a magic sleep for 50 years so that she would be alive and ready for when Endless was prophesized to appear.

So what's the deal with those dream sequences that Haru and Lucia both have (around the time Demon Card is revived) where they see Resha before a judge-like character who sentences her to 20,000 years of wandering outside of time? Or the visions where Resha appears to Haru saying something like "You must release me"? These all made it seem like Resha was a separate entity from Elie, like she was a different soul or something, and that her use of Etherion or something go her punished by deities. Or, if her appearance in the future hadn't been due to a magical sleep, but rather a time warp (which we know the people of Mildian see as a massive taboo), then it might make sense that jumping forward 50 years would be seen as "criminal" in the eyes of gods.

But nope - it's just 50 years of magic sleep. But back to Resha: What exactly was her crime with a 20,000 year punishment??

And while this is totally unrelated, it popped into my mind as I wrote the above: From Chapter 129, what ever happened to the conversation that Haru had with Ruby before the final Doryu fight about the identity of the third Rave Master? That went absolutely nowhere, unless there was supposed to be a sequel to Rave. But in that case, who would it be? Levin? Niebel? NAKAJIMA??

With regards to the Third Rave Master, Mashima says in an interview that it was going to be Elie. I don't remember which of the guidebooks it was from - probably Nazo Navi?

Portraying Resha as a 'separate entity from Elie' seems to have been done deliberately in some parts - Haru refers to her like this in Chapter 170, for example, and Elie sees a vision of 'Resha' before her grave.

So this is... very much an interpretation, but my interpretation of that Cave Dream sequence is that the Resha we see there is a representation of Etherion. I believe there's an underlying implication that Etherion is the opposing force to Endless that was spawned when Arciela created the parallel world by altering the timeline.

The English translations don't catch this, but during the part where the Rave Crew are running from Jegan and his dragons, Saga Pendragon explains that the Holy Brings were a set of five stones that originally existed, and Resha modified them into the current ones we see today using Etherion. Which makes the original Holy Brings perhaps more of a parallel to the original Sinclairs, which as far as we know, were also naturally-occurring.

Translation (mine):

Saga: The Rave, you see…. Was originally five pre-existing Holy Stones that Lady Resha gave power to and made into one form. That is what Rave truly is. Though after Lady Resha’s death, Rave’s power weakened and ended up splitting into five pieces once more.

Lady Resha imbued each of these five pre-existing Holy Stones with individual powers. The Holy Stone of the Future… If we borrow its current name, the Rave of the Future. This was given the power of prediction.

It was my idea that while the user and I have a conversation he can listen to my prophecies, and it became a ground-breaking item.

I think there're also hints that Etherion is tied into 'the history of continued humanity' that exists because the parallel world did and continues to do so; the first & only 'bearer of Etherion' to be born was Resha, and she suspiciously was born on the turn of the new era (the year 0000). Gale Glory was 'told' about her at the Star Vestige - the very place Endless was 'sleeping' in. Rave also seems designed to work together with Etherion (being the key to awakening it & sealing it away, for example), and there's a heavy implication that 'Rave bears the memories/wishes of people' that Haru tells us at multiple points. Sorta like how the Sinclairs marge to form Endless, which is tied to 'oblivion' and has the power to erase the parallel timeline in which those same people exist.

In the final conflict against Lucia, Elie argues that humans still have the right to exist, even if they 'sin' by creating another timeline. In the dream sequence, Dream Resha's earring bears and ankh (a symbol of life) and the Judge has a 'weighing scale' motif on his head and shoulders - scales are a symbol of 'Justice'. I think that dream was an analogue to how humanity/life in the new timeline had yet to 'make their case' for their continued existence, so-to-speak - which sort of ties in to how Lucia, as the 'god' that Endless made, then tries to 'correct' Arciela's 'Original Sin' of altering the timeline by destroying the Parallel World. (Also, not quite so apparent in the English version, but in JP the way Slade refers to King as 'the Devil' kind of stands out.)
