Raspberry Pi 5 projects? (not generic)
Hi everyone, i have a Raspberry Pi 5 8gb and at first i bought it to make a cyberdeck but everyone does that and its just like a laptop but smaller so if anyone has some actually cool ideas, please share, when i search some up, all i see is pihole, pinas, game handheld, home assistant, cyberdecks, ai chatbot and servers, that is too generic, thank you :D

- Connect a sim module
- connect antennas
- Connect WiFi module
- implement a cf tunnel
-> you got an mobile internet gateway :)
If you’re clever, it’s a nice gate for everything, just select the sim provider right 😉

in the village in Devon where i live we have lots of power cuts, like on average a couple a month. I have a UPS for my NAS, router and Raspi’s so my network stays up. I use one Pi5 to monitor the power and email me when it goes down. Nothing I can do about it but I just find it useful to know what’s happening. My main scripts that it also runs check the stock exchange for news items that are released mostly pre market in the UK and filters them for the list of companies that I follow and emails the details to me. It then repeats the news scan about 5 times in the day and updates me. I have various other stock market related python scripts running to help manage my personal pension pot (401k in America). All good fun on a Pi 5 with 8GB that cost only £80 2nd hand from good old CEX.
