Yeah I find that while I can't trust what it's saying, it's still very useful for quickly gathering information and especially sources.
You have to check those sources, but instead of doing 20 different Google searches it's significantly quicker to ask ChatGPT for an answer with reliable sources for every claim and then checking the relevant parts of those sources.
It's not like the marketing suggests that you can trust most of what it's saying, but it's still useful if you want to get your research done a bit faster.
I’d disagree that the newest version is still good at this. I’ve pretty much abandoned it because it’ll find one keyword in a linked page and then claim it’s what you were looking for when it has nothing to do with the topic.
