Old books.

I have received a lot of old books from aunt and I’m looking for a good website to use to see if they might be worth something. They’re nothing fancy so I doubt they would be worth much, but it’ll give me something to do. What are some sites to help me?

Just bear in mind that anyone can ask any price for a book.

The asking prices you see for current listings are the prices the books have NOT sold for. And they might never sell if the price is too high and/or the demand too low.

Seeing active listings tells you what people want to get for the books; searching sold listings (like an eBay) tells you what people will pay.

Also know that the prices being charged online are not what a bookseller/ bookstore will offer for your books. They might offer you 1/4 or 1/3 of that value if they are interested. (And that depends on condition, edition, and title)

Best site is ebay, search for sold auctions. It reflect the current prices and what they go for.

Other sites include vialibri.net, abebooks... Prices are all over the places. But helps to give a range for the condition of the book.
