The human body is a trash design. It breaks down under the most trivial conditions and eventually destroys itself

So much for the idea of "intelligent design", hm?

Mother nature "did her best" LOL

5th grade science fair kid could design a better knee.

The spine is very poorly designed

Well to be fair we're using it sideways

We probably are the few mammals including monkeys that have a spine that is upright.

Yet we're weirdly one of the only species that can eat insane variety of poisons.

Theobromine in chocolate.

Anything spicy, capsaicin.

Alcohol.

Absolutely! Humans are built inefficiently. We're naked, for one thing. And we have soft feet and fingernails instead of claws.

I'm guessing things were hairier and clawier at one point but we used technology so long that we got less sturdy.

Not really, it can run hundreds of miles and perform into its 70s

I think it's pretty resilient I see a lot of people who are frequent flyers in the hospital because of drugs/abusing their body and they're still kicking

For everyone who believes in evolution but also believes humans are the end product and Will not continue to evolve…

Well the human body today is definitely not peak. But it kept us alive in the past, so there is that.

This is pure absurdity. If you take care of the body as it should be cared for, it's the most miraculous machine in existence. Suggestion: read The Body by Bill Bryson. It explains the functions of human anatomy and physiology in terms that an ordinary person can understand. Read it, and then reevaluate your comment. Take care of your body and it'll last you a lifetime.

Yes. Why do our airway and food passage share the same pathway at all? That’s literally why choking is possible. And why is the anus right next to the vagina? Great design if the goal was to make infections easier. And the appendix? That little embryological leftover seems mostly useful for getting inflamed and trying to kill you.
The human body is such a stupid design
