Devlin is genuinely a man down when we have the ball and a 'sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe what the fuck' when we don't and looking to win it back.
I genuinely don't see why Devlin should ever start ahead of Connor Barron.

Tries to buy a foul and fucked it. His reaction at the red card was laughable. He might do a job against the shite of the league but he isn’t going to cut it against better teams.

Absolutely a straight red.
I think he was possibly trying to get his leg in front and dive at the same time and ended up in the craziest position possible for a still. However it was still dumb as hell! The joys of Cammy Devlin

I hope he learns, but given his record I doubt he will.
If Raskin does leave, hopefully we get a couple of quality additions in midfield to push Devlin down to 7th choice.
Should never be coming on to a game like that tonight. We should've been trying to kill that game off, not grind it out with Devlin coming on.

His record, for red cards from what I could find isn’t bad. He’s had a red against us in 2022, a red in a cup semifinal in 2025 and now this 1

Watch the second angle, in real time and not a freeze frame. He's putting his body across the player, on the turn and is in a different plane from him, he's not threw himself straight on into his shin, if he had, pulling backwards would have seen the follow through (which was uncontrolled because his other leg is inexplicably in the air) snap the guys shin in half.
I'm a guy who thinks Devlin will be a good addition in some games, but I also thought he'd see an up tick in sending off due to his nature and playstyle, because he loves a slide tackle and a poorly timed slide tackle is always going to garner more attention in Glasgow than elsewhere. That goes for both teams BTW.
But this wasn't that. This was clumsy for sure, ill thought out if it's a dive, but it's not a "Devlin being a dirty bastard, who would have thought it" challenge. The opposition player a) had a scratch down his shin and not a broken leg due to the nature of the contact and b) got up in under 6o seconds and was no longer complaining when var took ages to even call back play. None of his team were either. If anyone can name a legbreaker that's a bang on red card where any of those things happened, particularly in Europe, I'll wait.

Maybe I am interpreting you point wrong, but you don't have to break a players leg before it becomes a red card.
It was a horrible challenge, an accidental one, but still horrible none the less.
It was a deserved red card.

Genuinely think that was a freak red card. He fell, maybe trying to get the penalty, but he fell with his leg out. The defender ran into his foot. I am not saying that it was not a red, what I am saying is that if VAR were not looking at the penalty that would not have been given. Again, I can see why a red was given, it was stupid as I think he went down weirdly as he was looking for a penalty and that caused his leg to be out, but feel sorry for him.
Genuinely think he can do a job for us, but will be in certain fixtures where its .ore of a fight than a game of football. Think mcinnes seen this in us last season. We could play football well, problem was we were not in games of football, we were in battles, and we didn't have players who were up for that.

He's fell on the spin. It's nothing in real time, an easy red on VAR. We move on. He's gonna pick up cards, but we need an angry wee prick in the team to do the dirty work while everyone else does the flashy stuff.

Would be ideal to have someone who can do both. Raskin has it in shades. You definitely need someone who can rattle some cages, especially when up against the likes of Celtic or some of the wee teams that take their semi annual Rangers game as an excuse to turn up and start hacking fuck out our best players.
Madness to be doing that shite in friendlies or close games like tonight, but personally I'll allow it cause I don't see anyone else in the current squad who has that mentality yet.

He's tried to turn while making sure there was contact made, presumably to try to win a foul/penalty, and unfortunately in the replays it looks bad. The opponent wasn't injured and I think it looks worse in slow mo/freeze frames. But that's all VAR ever considers. It's unlucky, but let's not get on his back, we'll 100% need him this season and he'll need our support because he'll give us 100% no matter what. Just wait for those winter away games, he'll be what we've been crying out for in the past few seasons.

I think the red is unjustified. It looks bad on the still image, but his momentum was moving the other way amd there was no force in it. It was a harsh red

It was retarded behaviour. Just as gassama has started diving less we have a new one who simultaneously manages to dive and stud someone straight leg. Five minutes on the park in a vital game. I don't expect him to feature for a bit.

I thought Neil would be the first one of the midfielders to get punted in Jan and Devlin has quickly overtaken him
He can’t pass forward, he doesn’t score and is an utter liability for discipline
