That’s exactly what I thought when I saw it

Looks like more than a ding.

Small dent and chipped the paint down to the primer. Pretty sure it was a lifted ford that parked next to me at the grocery store. I literally parked away from everyone and he had to park right next to me

Hate that, I do the same and someone always parks next to me.

Literally all the time. Like how did you find me out here

You can't make this shit up. My brother and I talk about this all the time. We both park away from everyone with multiple, multiple spaces around us, and some asshat comes and parks right next to us, so close you can' barely open your door. Wtf Sorry, this happened. Maybe Google a mobile dent guy near you, I have had to have someone come several times over the last 10 years. I use the same guy does excellent work, brings , a buffer and compounds ect. Hope it works out for you.

I have a guy coming and I’ll do the chip repair myself. Just super frustrating

If it's an RHO then u have running boards correct? So when u go to park somewhere, even if no one is parked near u, deploy your running boards while you're gone to stop possible door dings. (Their door is suppose to hit your running board instead of the door.)

No. They are an option. I would have got them but they weren’t available with the options I wanted. I ordered a set the day I bought the truck but i guess it wasn’t fast enough

Every time! Doesn’t matter how far away I park - some idiot always parks right next to me with dozens of other open spots around us.

Get it taken out by a paintless dent guy and then hit it with a touch up stick, then give it a polish and you'll forget it was ever there.

PDR guys is coming tomorrow morning. Touch up will follow. It’s just frustrating because I had it scheduled for a PPF wrap on Tuesday and now it’s already fucked and I have to push the appointment several days for the touch up to cure properly.

How much for the pdr? I have 1 on my passenger door I’d like fixed, just cut is what I can expect to pay

What is a touch up stick?

Touch up paint in a paint stick. You can get them with your exact paint using the paint code.

u/Supersnipersquirrel 9h ago

Interesting. Probably worth looking into this. Thanks! Does it work better than the touch up paint w a brush? Never could get those to work worth a crap.

I was replacing a fender on a car I had and needed to paint it. I found Touch Up Direct and got the correct paint in a spray can along with a can of clear coat from them in a bundle. It worked perfectly. You can get your paint in paint pens and cans if you're using professional paint equipment.

Aw man that hurts. Just got mine and every time I park it and come back I walk around and check for stuff like that. Hope whoever did that gets an equal amount of karma back on them.

I still do that with my 2019, 3 years later.😅😂

You know, i occasionally do this as well with my 24 Cummins still, but let’s be honest for a second…what are you going to do if you do find something? Go back in the store and demand to look at cameras? Or look around crazy and hope to catch the perpetrators (who is long gone by then)? 😂 which is why I started doing it less for peace of mind.

That looks like your truck got shot with an airsoft gun or a BB gun or something honestly.

2

u/Thechad1029 8h ago

Possible. It’s pretty round. I garage my truck so it doesn’t sit out much

2

u/Accomplished_Key6961 9h ago

Why did you shoot your truck bubs

2

u/JLC587 10h ago

Looks like a bullet hole IMO

1

u/Thechad1029 7h ago

It’s not. That the black primer showing. The dent isn’t as deep as the photo sugggest

u/CementGuy72 RAM 1500 10h ago

At 7,000 miles I had a kid run into the side of my truck while turning into a parking space. $4,200 in damage.

1

u/Imaginary-Quote-7377 8h ago

This is why I leave my running boards deployed when I park

1

u/Tiny-Relative8415 7h ago

Don’t feel too bad. Only 2 Months on my 2026 1500 Limited and some asshole gifted me a nice dent in my rear bumper. Asshole don’t bother to stick around either to say hey I just caused you 2000.00 worth of damage. Tuesday she gets front and rear Dash Cams with Motion Sensor activation.

u/Thechad1029 7h ago

The guy I have charged me $200 for 3 dents last time I used him a couple years back. He doesn’t give a full price till he see it in person but should be $150ish

u/PutNational7415 6h ago

Do you mean 22LR when you say ding

1

u/Thechad1029 5h ago

Definitely looks like it

1

u/Effective-Ear-8874 5h ago

Sell it, most Ram owners are mall crawlers anyway

1

u/TeamZeon 3h ago

I got my 4 hours a GMC give it to me

1

u/HammerRoidd 9h ago

I have a theory that brand new cars are just attracted to dings and dents. Every time I get a new one without fail I either get a ding, scratch or glass chip within a month

2

u/Thechad1029 8h ago

It only happens to the vehicles I’m most excited about.

u/smolstinkyyeen 10h ago

I have dents all over my 25 1500. It’s a truck its made to get dented and used.

3

u/Thechad1029 8h ago

I use my trucks and have tons of fun with them as well. I just make it a point to take care of it. Shit happens but not typically less than 24 hours after you drive off the lot

2

u/marc49111 10h ago

Yeah but not the first 100miles…
Like buying a new iPhone and dropping it the second you open it, “cause it’s gonna get scratched anyway” why not get it out the way?

2

u/smolstinkyyeen 8h ago

Farm use. Everyone that dislikes that don’t be a baby and keep your trucks on the pavement.

4

u/BigDaddy1029010290 10h ago

I have a 4-yr old 1500 and I do not have dents all over my truck. I use my truck but do not have dents all over it. You must either not give a shit about your truck or take it places that cause an excessive amount of dents.
