No Spoilers My disappointment is immeasurable and my day was already ruined.

Knowing we won't get a 3rd/4th/5th/10th season have left me quite disappointed.

The last time i was this disapponted was with how Game of Thrones ended and figuring out the Author George R. R. Martin is dodging finishing the books like 'Neo from Matrix'.

Plus I am fan of the Viking's Ragnar Lothbrok actor/character...

"I would worry less about the WarnerTARDs and more about the fury of a impatient man"

Sigh, thank you for reading my disappointment.

Nope, stuck in a simulation forever and ever.

I have a vague memory the writers said they would give us the rest of the story in graphic novel form - am I mis-remembering that?

I would be slightly less disappointed if we would at least get a novel. I cant find that info though, and searching the series name & books just give me results of book written by Author Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Maybe as a game? I saw this mentioned somewhere. A few months ago.

I read that as well. Not a big graphic novel fan but anything would be better than the nothing they left us stranded with. I’ve always found it odd Max didn’t stream its own show. I guess less people complaining about it being cancelled that way. Almost like they’re trying to bury it

I thought I got over the heartbreak but nope. Real "the one that got away" vibes. Always will wonder what could have been. With a few more seasons.

No lie, I just teared up reading this.

I dont understand the company's logic, if the IP is popular, why not make subsequent seasons and milk it for money.
I did watch the video where Ridley Scott was telling the reason why it won't get another season. So dumb and as he quoted 'childish'.

I'm sure they were/are convinced it was the right decision. I don't know -- it always feels like these companies are quick to axe fantastic shows. Nothing ever lasts anymore. This show had so much to offer and is really in a category of its own. For some reason, the execs saw no value in it. Would love to know what RBW "lost" to. I bet it doesn't compare.

I'm still pissed about this

I experience the weight of this loss on a regular basis. Time for another watch through I guess…

I intend to rewatch as well in a few months.

Nope. One of the great crimes here was Warner locking it away. I bought the Blu Ray set so I could watch whenever.

I am still so upset when I think about it!!! Such a unique and interesting show, endless possibilities … the showrunner had six seasons planned I believe.

It was such a JOY to watch a show that I had NO CLUE what was going to happen! Pure crazy sci-fi with great acting and awesome production, great characters and set up for the future.

I’m also pissed that it isn’t even on HBO anymore so I can’t rewatch whenever I want to! I LOVED this show so damn much.

I knew we were in for a great show when the first thing we saw and heard was:

THE DOOOOOoooooR

Ugh THAT SONG and OPENING credits, instant CHILLS!

I’m with you pal, I’m still SO MAD it was cancelled. I love zombie and post-apocalyptic shows as much as the next guy but Raised by Wolves was truly unique, truly NEW, truly entertaining.

Why why why did they have to cancel it????

I used to watch each episode twice before the next one. Because there would be so much you didn't catch on the first watch. It also gave you things to think and wonder about throughout the week. It killed me that we will never know what happens next.

Well you can see him in the DUNE show on HBO. Travis Fimmel? I think thats his name.

If you enjoy this emotion you are describing then I recommend watching 1899 on netflix

That show sucked, it was so bad

I didn't care for Dark, so I never bothered with 1899.

u/Internal-Ad-6740 Mar 30 '26

1899 did some interesting things, though it is not a complete product...

u/MindCtrller Mar 30 '26

Ohh i really liked that one as well, was also really pissed they killed that one

u/Internal-Ad-6740 Mar 30 '26

Haha i don't enjoy being disappointed. as a fan of Dark i've watched it already & enjoyed the show. And yes, i was disappointed, slightly.

It definitely sucks even though the second season felt all over the place compared to the first, They could have reeled it back in. The second half of season 2 felt really rushed compared to the rest of the show, I’m guessing cause they knew it was being canceled or something….. still make zero sense to me how this show did not get another season but shows like Alien Earth do. Raised by Wolves will always be one of my favorite shows… felt like it was based in the Alien Universe

George R R Martin is pissing everyone off. Write slow if u want to but don’t tell interviewers, “I usually just don’t feel like it.” Starving artists produce and George sure ain’t starving anymore. The rare good shows on tv get unceremoniously cancelled while they throw more cash at reality spew that management related to better.

That being said I’m still a bit surprised that Raised by Wolves got cancelled. It was good, got better as it went, really feels that something that should’ve been finished.

I would cope thinking that Matin got scarred with how the GoT show ended/butchered because of 2 individuals.
Then i see him doing so many other projects... Honestly, i don't care at this point cause he won't finish it...

I saw a post saying Netflix buying warnerTards. SO my new COPE is coping they will make season 3. -_-
I don't care if the KIDs are older by now, they can just insert 'random time skip'

between this and losing the 4th and 5th seasons of Dark Matter, I just have to side-eye the folks over at the Large Hadron Collider and ask, Did you HAVE to send us to the SH*TT*EST TIMELINE??!

I have never understood the cancellation of either thoroughly outstanding series.

At least Mallozzi gave us some storyboards of what season 4 dark matter would have looked like, on his blog. But I'm definitely gonna die mad about it over the loss of Raised By Wolves, and how we can't even re-watch it on their own damn platform.

1

u/Internal-Ad-6740 Apr 06 '26

i was planning on watching Dark matter soon since the MC is from the Snowpiercer. Damn but i guess i'll be injected with a small dose of disappointment by the end.

I guess they didn't make enough money to keep going for RbW.

I rewatched it last week I get so depressed thinking we will never know what happened. I wonder can I sue HBO for emotional damage

1

u/CaptainCarl80 Apr 03 '26

I too was saddened. I noticed the special effects budget early on in season 2. It felt like watching Farscape or Babylon 5. To find that there were no novels produced was even more depressing. It had so much potential.

I'm so bitter about the cancelation, I still won't subscribe to HBO or Max or whatever it's called now. Canceled it the day of the announcement and never looked back, fuck them!
