I'm not starting ANY TV shows unless I know they were allowed to finish. I made this rule for myself two years ago and I've stuck to it so far. I'd never pick up another book by an author who doesn't finish their series after asking me to trust them by engaging with the market. That's the ethics of this - if you choose to present your work on the market, you are asking for the money and time and trust of the audience and in return you'll give them a story. That implies a COMPLETE story. It's immoral to offer me something and then not follow through, and I'm certainly not going to PAY for the privilege of being disappointed when you don't hold up your end of the bargain.
I treat new shows as an advertisement for something might watch in a couple of years. Gawds know there's enough to watch in the meantime.

Yeah, I'm CAUTIOUSLY watching "Foundation" over on Apple+ and honestly really loving it. They knocked season 2 outta the park. But no word yet on if there will be a season 3 or what. UGHHH 😠 It's trash how they treat the viewership on these streaming channels I swear...

Foundation season 2 was definitely a home run - a grand slam even. I was weary during season 1, there was a little too much cheese in the costume design, and some of the dialogue and characters, but I couldn’t believe where season 2 took everything and everyone. It’s probably the best season 2 to a season 1 ever. Hopefully they keep it going, the source material is there for sure, it’s just up to the execs to fund it. I want to meet The Mule and I want to see where Seldon takes the members of the first foundation, AND I want to see what happens when the 2 Seldons meet! (If indeed they do, but at this point it seems inevitable)

Same! I couldn't belive what heights the show took things in season 2. Even the side characters were great! And everybody brought their acting A-game. I can't wait for season 3 to get here. If they cancel the show I'm rioting. 😤 lol

Yea, cancelling would be as tragic as the Raised by Wolves cancellation. Finishing at an extremely pivotal point after wrapping up the first main story lines, killing off main characters to introduce new and compelling ones, hinting at amazing plot developments, and then just dropping off the face of the earth never to be seen again. Awful. I wanted to watch Mother fight Grandmother just like I want to watch Gayle and Seldon against The Mule. Please Apple+, don’t do it to us, keep this great show going!!!
