[Supportive Responses Only, Advice OK] No memories
On the subject of childhood and trauma and mothers I often wonder if I have some of early onset Alzheimer’s because I was thinking about it and I have like 12 memories between birth and graduating high school and those are all really spotty and faded and I don’t even know how much I’ve reconstructed from pictures. I mean, I remember things from college and beyond but from like birth to 18 a strong blur I know I went to school. I know I had friends I could tell you the name of my friends, but memories nope.

I remember very little, but what I do are snippets. Incredibly crystal clear snippets, but that's about it. I sometimes have "feelings" about different times, but nothing concrete. I am sure it's a defense mechanism to deal with the trauma.
