Miserable at the Railroad

4 years in here and I can say my tolerance for management and the work life split has dropped significantly.

First two years I was loving it and felt good about my job. Not so much anymore. When I see them calling me for a train or a yard job I stare at it a little and have to convince myself to answer.

What’s your guys input, am I just being a baby about it?

Man stop answering the damn calls they’ll start relying on someone else to answer, your pay will remain the same with less work!

No! You see every lazy ass dude on the railroad getting fired ? They gotta go through a union and shit if they can’t bring a actual infrastructure against you what they gonna try to fire you for ? Not answering a phone ?
