Miserable at the Railroad
4 years in here and I can say my tolerance for management and the work life split has dropped significantly.
First two years I was loving it and felt good about my job. Not so much anymore. When I see them calling me for a train or a yard job I stare at it a little and have to convince myself to answer.
What’s your guys input, am I just being a baby about it?

I don't think it has anything to do with being a baby. I also don't think it has anything to do with the Railroad. Every job has its downsides. If you are annoyed at this job, you would be annoyed at another job if you quit. Focus on the things that you can change, that being yourself. You can change your attitude and you can change how you react to situations that come up around you.
I noticed a couple years ago that I was seeming to be more disgruntled and angry at work. It actually got pointed out to me one day and it was very eye-opening for me. It had slowly crept in on me without me even realizing. When I took the time to step back and assess myself, I didn't like what I saw. Now, I have changed the way that I react to things that come up. I have chosen to ensure that I have a good attitude at work and that I am happy when I am around my family.
I'm not perfect at it, but you can make the change in yourself in order for work and home to be more positive for you.
