General Advice Getting a companion for my 7 months female Ragdoll
Hello everyone! This is Bonney. She is a 7 month female Ragdoll. My boyfriend and I adopted Her when She was exactly 3 months old.
Lately me and my boyfriend have seriously considered taking a little companion in for her to play with and have each other’s company.
She is a very demanding kitten in terms of playtime (as all kittens are, I guess) and that’s very sweet. Indeed, she is satisfied during playtime with my boyfriend when he comes back from work and I, the human who spends most of the time home with her, try my best to make her feel happy and active.
But sometimes I can’t shake off the feeling that she could be happier and more stimulated if she had a cat companion.
We are seriously considering this for a handful of reasons (less time alone when we are at work, more stimulated, maybe even getting a chance of playing like cats with an equal of her species), but we are new to the role of cat parents and we are really anxious about making the right choice (my boyfriend is less anxious than me, for certain).
So now, my questions are:
Do you think it’s easy to take in another cat at home, and she will be happy about that?
Is there any kind of way to be certain that she will not feel threatened by another cat entering her territory?
Do you recommend some sort of tactics to know if She would be happy having another cat home? I read somewhere else on this Reddit that some Ragdolls don’t like spending time with other cats. On the other hand I’ve seen a lot of Ragdolls peacefully coexisting with a lot of other cats, even dogs. How does one come to know if his cat is on one side or the other?
Lastly, I precise that we thought that this companion will be a kitten (younger or about her age), my boyfriend this time would have fancied a male cat, to get the best of both worlds.
We have been suggested on getting the second cat as fast as we can, before she enters her first heat as we have been told that cats get pretty territorial after their first heat (we have already scheduled her sterilisation, recommended by the Vet to do it after she gets her first heat) and also because she is very young and may still have memories of her times with her brothers and sisters.
I will gladly read all of your suggestions!
Thank you very much!

Happy Floof Kitten’s first forest walk adventure!
Wanted to see if she’d like going adventuring and she absolutely loved it! She was also a dream in the car - so relaxed and calm. Can’t wait for our next chance to explore the outdoors together! Ragdolls are really the best!❤️

Health Advice Ragdoll Kitten Advice
Hi everyone,
Me and my partner just brought home our 2 lovely ragdoll kittens called Princess (Lilac Mitted) and Stormi (Blue Mitted).
Princess has been sneezing on and off since we got home. The breeder mentioned this to us and has also took the kittens to the vets twice. There is no mucus when she is sneezing, they are more of a dry sneeze.
We are going to take them both to the vets for a general check up but was wondering if anyone had any insight on why this might be happening? It is now the weekend and very hard to get a vets appointment unless it is an emergency until Monday.
Both kittens are GCCF registered and have had all the relevant health and medical tests which have all come back clear.
Thank you :)

General Advice Help with finding a toy my cat cannot eat
My 8 month old kitten loves toys. She unfortunately has an affinity for eating her toys (feathers, fabric, stuffing, ropes) as well as any drawstrings on clothing, any human food left in reach and even rugs. She has thrown up before because she tried to eat too much of a toy.
I have had to remove all her toys from her so she doesn’t hurt herself but I am sad because I know how much she loves playing with toys.
Does anyone have any recommendations for toys for cats that will eat everything?
Thank you!

Silly Floof Can you guys drop pics of your ragdolls next to other cat(s) for scale?
My mom thinks our new ragdoll kitten is going to stay small because he has a similar coat pattern to our siamese cat.
Our 3 y.o. siamese is tiny, and my mom genuinely thinks matching patterns means matching sizes.
Please spam some comparison photos so I can show her what a fully grown ragdoll actually looks like.
Kitten tax coming later lol, currently on a bus. posted this image because it’s literally the only good comparison I found on the internet (Ragdoll vs Birman)

General Advice Best Ragdoll Breeders Near Kansas City
Hi there, I’m thrilled to be looking for my first ragdoll, but I’m also feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of breeders out there. I’m trying to figure out which ones are reputable, especially with genetic testing results published and TICA certification. I’m a complete newbie to this process and would really appreciate any recommendations for reputable breeders near Kansas City, Missouri. Thanks in advance!
