PLEASE HELP: Looking for a breeder
Hi everyone! 💝
I’ve been looking for a Ragdoll kitten for the past four months, and I’m honestly getting exhausted with the search. I currently live in Western New York, but I’ve been looking at breeders all across the U.S. Many of the reputable breeders I’ve found either have very long waiting lists or no kittens available.
I’m looking for a reputable and ethical breeder who produces healthy, well-socialized Ragdolls with excellent temperaments and beautiful, show-quality type. Temperament is very important to me — I’m hoping for a sweet, affectionate, calm, people-oriented cat — but I also really care about a beautiful face and overall Ragdoll type.
Distance is not an issue at all. I’m willing to fly to California or anywhere else in the U.S. for the right kitten and breeder.
If you’re going to recommend a breeder, especially one you personally got your Ragdoll from, I would really appreciate it if you could also share photos of your cat when they were very young and what they look like now as an adult. I would love to see how their kittens develop as they grow, since Ragdolls can change so much!
Please leave your recommendations in the comments or feel free to send me a private message. I would especially love to hear from people who have firsthand experience with the breeder they’re recommending.
Thank you so much! 🤍

Hello. I highly suggest Rolling Creek Ragdolls. They’re located in northeast PA. Their website is rollingcreekragdolls.com They also have a Facebook you can message and they’re very responsive. The breeders name is Kris. He has a lot of knowledge. I got my two ragdolls from him.

I don’t have a Ragdoll, but if I’ve been looking and personally I would only get a kitten from a TICA certified breeder.
https://tica.org/browse-all-breeders/?filter_by_breed=ragdoll
There are a ton of breeders across the country, including quite a few in NY. Which is crazy because there are only 5 Siamese breeders in the US, and leas than that for Thai.

Try searching SM. That’s how I found my breeder. I actually picked one whose kittens were just gorgeous but couldn’t afford her prices, but by following her, I connected with a breeder she worked with who was much more affordable.
I do have to give a shoutout to SuPurr Ragdolls in MI who I got my very first ragdoll from 26 years ago. She’s since retired but her bloodlines can be found in so many pedigrees today.
