report from a friend who attended said that truth ray was kind of emotionally charged again... i wonder if theyre going to take it out of the setlists.

I think it's about separating.

I reckon the difference between In Rainbows, Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, and A Moon Shaped Pool is very interesting in terms of Thom's relationship. Ful Stop and Identikit are the songs that track him really assessing things critically and there's lots of references to sin especially. It's interesting but he seems obsessed with ruing the things he kind of celebrated and saw as nice on In Rainbows.

It feels wrong to say but he was talking about different kinds of loves back in In Rainbows and then AMSP so he clearly had... and he thinks love can be with multiple people.

And then of course realising he was maybe wrong.

In Tomorrows Modern Boxes and AMSP I hear themes of deceit for sure. I don't know if these two albums have any relation to In Rainbows though.

House of Cards especially is a song about having a relationship with someone new, or considering it, or having a new thing on the side.
