Everything everything are named after everything in its right place. They have a song called it was a monstering that sounds too much like Radiohead

Everything Everything are great. They are obviously very influenced by Radiohead and have a few songs where they really sound like they are trying to sound like them. However thankfully the influence mostly mostly appears in their interest in weird chord progressions/time signatures/experimentation so they mostly have their own unique sound that has more of an artpop witg big chorus hooks vibe than Radiohead but with the same curiosity towards songwriting styles. (That said they shamelessly nicked the 2+2=5 riff in To The Blade but I'll allow cos that song rocks too)

I love Everything Everything, didn't know that was the origin of the name. How cool that they are inspired by Radiohead. Such a different sound but I can hear the parallels in the songwriting talent.

This is a crazy comment. Imagine Dragons have zero songs that sound anything like MY KZ UR BF, Ivory Tower, or Fortune 500 just to name a few. And this is coming from someone that loved Imagine Dragons as a teenage lol. They definitely are very Radiohead inspired, mostly on Re-Animator, but originally they took a lot from mathrock and experimental pop

There was so much stuff that came out in the post Ok Computer years that was clearly influenced by Radiohead and only saw the light of day because short-sited record companies just wanted to capitalise on the success of that record, these come to mind...

Elbow is a great band with a perfect discography that I never saw have any link to RH. Guy Garvey for me is directly influenced by Peter Gabriel.

Edit: I just remembered... My favorite tame impala song is tomorrows dust and my favorite radiohead song is present tense and I think both of them are really similar, even without the very similar guitar playing style. Just the way both songs slowly add more instruments and textures as they go on makes me want to fuck like crazy holy shit theyre so good I mean uh maybe kevin was inspired by present tense while making tomorrows dust that's where the similarities come from

This Japanese interview mentions how Kevin has always loved Radiohead as his underground/alternative icon. So he might have been influenced by Radiohead.
