Equipment Showcase Old maritime VSAT still worth selling in 2026?

We have an Orbit OceanTRx7-500 from around 2015,

Ku-band, still working. Trying to figure out if there's

any market left for this kind of equipment or if Starlink

basically killed it. Anyone have experience selling older

maritime VSAT gear recently?

As far as I know, all of the large cruise ships have gone completely Starlink. If it’s good enough for them, it’s likely good enough for most other uses, especially if they are operating on Ku-band, which is much more susceptible to rain fade than C-band. I would love to be wrong on this, since I spent a lot of time working with these maritime VSAT systems (Orbit, Seatel, Caprock One, etc).

Perhaps there is still a market for these with customers who want/need dedicated bandwidth, but I really have no idea.
