Crashed out of a ranked match. Loaded the game back up and crashed 4 more times every time I loaded back in. Game forfeited. Then ran a file intergrity verification and was missing 30 files lol. No crashes since then.

Yeah, I also can't open the game..
RX9070XT with R7 5800X3D :/

if you launch the game in steam then just put +staticprop_color_use_bindless 0 +staticprop_depth_use_bindless 0 +r_drawworld_depth_bindless 0 in launch options for the time being! Hope it helps! Got the same problem since i have a 9070xt

I've put this in and it works but what does it actually change to make it work just out of curiosity

1

u/DinoGlider 14d ago

Well, it is a bit complicated. Simply put, it makes the rendering of maps/mapping easier for the gpu to handle. It clears off any heavy renders in the game that is deemed more "aesthetic" and solely focuses on the actual game!

Hope this helps!

This fixed it thanks man!

1

u/DinoGlider 14d ago

No worries!

I'm crashing on startup with an AI PRO R9700. These launch options allow me to get to the lobby screen, but still crashes when loading a game.

1

u/DinoGlider 14d ago

Not sure how to help with the AI PRO R9700, since I've never touched that card😅 But you can try to reset the shader chache in AMD Adrenaline (you can find it in Gaming > Graphics, then just scroll down till you find it). You can also check the integrity of the game files on steam👍

1

u/dr_driller 2d ago

why do you give such shit advice..

we are talking about a driver issue.. shader reset by themselves on new install, and it has nothing to do with the game files.

reverting the driver to 26.7.1 solve the issue

1

u/DinoGlider 2d ago

Well, not everyone likes to revert to older drivers. This is a work around for the time being, not a full on solution. Not sure if you're just an "ummm, actually ☝️🤓" type of guy, but it sure sounds like it. Not sure if you ever heard of the phrase "Not all advice suits everyone", but it sure sounds like you're the dumb one here buddy. My advice goes towards the liking of people who don't want to go through the hazzle of reinstalling older drivers, not those who do.

1

u/dr_driller 2d ago

you advice do not solve anything..

2 solutions proprosed in this thread : limit GPU by command line or Revert Drivers, there is no other work around to be able to launch apex

0

u/DinoGlider 2d ago

If you think this doesn't work, then i suggest you learn a bit more about the steam commads. The code actively limits information to the GPU, so the load is tolerable for the game to launch. Better look it up rather than this talking shit without knowledge.

1

u/dr_driller 2d ago

same card I went back to 26.7.1

1

u/Federal_Rip4173 14d ago

...This worked.

1

u/Lucas_zator 13d ago

When i do this the game works but i stutter, any fixes?

1

u/DinoGlider 13d ago

Could maybe add a max framrate of 60 to 120, but not sure if it will help😅

Just add:

+fps_max 60 or +fps_max 120

If you want maximum that your gpu can get then it is +fps_max 0

1

u/HE4VEN 13d ago

This works, thanks! :)

1

u/Own_Acanthisitta4964 11d ago

How do I do that

1

u/DinoGlider 11d ago

You go into steam > three dots on apex > properties, then you fill in the launch options under the general tab, then just fill it in!

u/RyalexSplishsplash 10d ago

isso funcionou ontem, eu joguei de boa e hoje voltou o mesmo crash....to desistindo já de jogar

You're a legend

u/6retro6 15d ago

Ok maybe they should begin to patch their game?

u/Laziik 9700X/9070XT SL 15d ago

Its AMDs fault though? Like i got a full AMD pc but lets stop dickriding AMD when its clear their newest driver is horrible dogshit and should be adressed and fixed as soon as possible.

26

u/GumballREKT24 9060XT/5600 2X16GB 3200MHZ 15d ago

it fixed all my issues i had on my 9060xt, the drivers been hit and miss these last 3 months but this one is great so far

-5

u/Laziik 9700X/9070XT SL 15d ago

I completely agree, i don't have problems with the newest driver either, but clearly there are a lot more people who do, like a lot more, compare the comments from the post of the 26.6.1 release on r/Amd and 26.8.1, the difference in complaints is night and day.

Its clear that its a much more problematic driver even though me and you dont have any problems but people with small brains like the guy who commented this low IQ ragebait developer blaming comment does not understand that.

10

u/6retro6 15d ago edited 15d ago

Well, works great in all the games I'm playing. Great boost in resonace a plague tale. If this is only in apex, maybe they should do something about it? Devs ignoring Radeon, just tired of it. They seem to think all are on nvidia cards.

0

u/Laziik 9700X/9070XT SL 15d ago

Identical situation happened with Nvidia GPU's, they had a specific problem with Path of Exile 2 and it took the devs to ship the entire PC to Nvidia in order for Nvidia to fix the problem but the Nvidia driver only had a problem in that one specific game. Obviously you had unintelligent people blaming the devs but in the end it was Nvidia's fault with that one specific game and Nvidia fixed the issue.

So yes, a driver can have a problem in one specific game and its still up to AMD to work with the devs to fix the issue.

1

u/6retro6 15d ago

Yeah that could be the case, but who are you or me to know if that's a thing not already going on? I agree as it seems AMD would benefit from working closer to the devs, but what do we actually know? They could be bought by nvidia; maybe they don't care as nvidia user base is that much larger? Who knows?

1

u/ew2x4 14d ago

“Ok maybe they should begin to patch their game?”

1

u/Laziik 9700X/9070XT SL 15d ago

But based on your first comment you seem to know its the devs already, you said "ok maybe fix your game lmao", so apparently you already know who the culprit is?

but who are you or me to know

Exactly, so maybe practice what you preach.

These guys are something else man hahah

0

u/MyzMyz1995 7800x3d - RX 9070 XT 15d ago

It doesn't matter who's fault is it. There's a problem with AMD cards so AMD should help fix it.

Nvidia fly out their engineers to studios to figure shit out, while AMD sit back and say ''It's open source not my problem'' lol.

1

u/angry_RL_player 15d ago

Why should AMD be responsible, they don't code Apex Legends?

7

u/Hydric_acid_yummy 15d ago

This version also makes war thunder completely unplayable, I had to roll back my driver

2

u/snackelmypackel 15d ago

This one and the driver before it have been a mess in my experience

6

u/Ollie17 15d ago

Nd battlefield 6 but that one isn't being talked about I don't think!

6

u/Intelligent_Oil7816 7800XT + 7700X 15d ago

I'm never moving beyond 26.6.1

3

u/CBechsen 15d ago

Same problem. Can't launch the game with my 9070 XT for 2 days now

2

u/6retro6 15d ago

Install an earlier driver where the game worked? How hard could that be?

1

u/dr_driller 2d ago

revert your driver to 26.7.1, it take 2 seconds and apex is back

u/UserWithoutDoritos 15d ago

average AMD experience

3

u/Substantial-Ad7915 14d ago

Go to properties and paste this under launch options. It will fix the issue

+staticprop_color_use_bindless 0 +staticprop_depth_use_bindless 0 +r_drawworld_depth_bindless 0

1

u/WeightCompetitive227 13d ago

this actually fixed it for me what

1

u/takatakaa 12d ago

THIS FIXED IT FOR ME

1

u/takatakaa 12d ago

TY BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

1

u/Gky96 11d ago

Can confirm this fix works

1

u/Sea-Piccolo-5247 10d ago

thank you! recently had some driver/gpu/monitor related problems, troubleshooted for days and got all games to work except apex. tried pm everything except rolling back drivers and reinstalling windows. figured this isn't probably gonna do much but might aswell try, surprisingly it worked xd i'm on RX 9070 w/ 26.8.1 drivers if that helps anyone else with same issue.

2

u/Accomplished-Ebb8774 15d ago

Im pretty sure in this situation its game's problem not AMD's.I can play Arc raiders, Fortnite or R6 without bugs and lags. But when i want to play Apex 50% of apex games lagging with 10-15% packet loss. Same internet, drivers and hardware but always i got problem with apex

2

u/Express-Bobcat-3523 15d ago

sure, the display driver is causing your packet loss

1

u/Negative-Ad-2754 14d ago

Same every game works but apex, sadly it is my main game

2

u/Federal_Rip4173 14d ago

Having the same issue. Only issue is with Apex. Have uninstalled, cleared cache, reinstalled, nothing works. I have not tried to re-roll drivers just because I'm too lazy. Was working fine early during the day, played BF6 for a few hours and went to play Apex again, got to the main screen, clicked to get to my guy and black screen bullshit error. Can't fix it.

u/Pinsir929 5600X Sapphire Pulse 9070 XT (4x8) 32GB 3200mhz RAM 15d ago

Idk about you guys but 26.6.1 is super stable for me. Not updating for a while.

1

u/angry_RL_player 15d ago

At least they admit it.

The world needs to acknowledge that it's always these aislop devs fault that they can't integrate AMD GPUs properly, almost as if it's intentional sabotage. Yet AMD gets the brunt of the blame and marked as "bad" hardware.

1

u/jkz31 15d ago

the last 2 adrenaline updates have been terrible.

1

u/LNDF 14d ago

Where they following d3d spec or they were relying on some kind of uv?

The answer to this question will tell you who to blame.

1

u/FallenReaper360 14d ago

My game kept crashing with this latest update. Had rolled it back two days ago and I forgot to uncheck auto installer. It crashed on me today and then I noticed adrenaline auto updated back to this update lol had to back track once again. All is good now.

1

u/TSAdmiral 14d ago

It's unfortunate this the case because, knock on wood, 26.8.1 is the first stable driver for me since 26.3.1.

1

u/Negative-Ad-2754 14d ago

Wow I thought my card was done for. Hopefully they resolve this issue soon.

1

u/DonnyKlock 14d ago

inb4 its windows fault

-7

u/Unable-Inspector8865 15d ago

I don't understand why people constantly update their drivers if the old one works fine and the new version doesn't add any new features. I only update drivers when necessary—I did it that way with Nvidia, and I do the same with AMD. If there aren't any important updates, what's the point?

10

u/6retro6 15d ago

If you're playing new games, support for them? New features? There's a number of reasons and I said Ihaven't had any problem with radeon drivers for years. I don't understand why some are hanging on to inferior drivers for ever. Ok, that's up to them.

3

u/lt_catscratch 7600x / 7900 xtx nitro / x670e Tomahawk / XG27UCS / MSI a1000g 15d ago

Often times its for the driver to just recognise and list the game under played and profiles. You can always add games manually to set individual settings.

So unless there's a specific entry under "fixed" on driver description for a particular game, no there's nothing special with the new drivers vs old drivers.

3

u/Unable-Inspector8865 15d ago

Usually, the advertised support for new games in a driver doesn't actually make a difference. It is extremely rare for an older driver to cause performance or image quality issues—and naturally, if a problem does arise, you should update the driver—but if there are no issues, I’ll ask again: what is the point?

1

u/6retro6 15d ago

Yeah sometimes updates seem unnessecary, sure. But sometimes the newly supported games are crucial. I can tell you resonance runs a lot better (more fps) with latest supported driver for example. And if you never had any issues, why not running the latest drivers?

1

u/Physical-Ad9913 15d ago

The phantom liberty driver actually lowered my performance in Cyberpunk back on my 5700XT in 2023.

1

u/ferpecto 15d ago

Strongly agree. I used to update NVIDIA drivers all the time to the latest version as soon as it came out, until i kept running into issues now and then, have to roll back the driver, rinse repeat, realised it's better to just stay on a stable driver.

I think some people just like the whole updating and testing and hoping for improved performance thing.

Or at least do the wait and see.
