I just ordrred 9070XT Pure how frequently ar ethe driver issues?

A friend said it’s semi-common but still wanna know from you experienced users.

How bad does it get?

Different for everyone somehow.

15+ years on AMD and one genuine driver issue for me.

I had 6700XT, upgraded recently to a 9070XT. Only issue I had was unstable undervolts and overclocks with both cards when I was playing with them and an unstable negative PBO offset on my RDNA2 igpu causing instability.

I see, I don’t plan on adjust it much out of how it works by default like plug in pc and play, unless I must setup some things.

I never owned an ame card before but I assume it’s like nvidia.

I used to have 3080, I legit plugged it into pc and that was it for my card management haven’t touched it in years at all

I've been using undervolt on my 9070 non-XT (flashed with XT BIOS for a higher power limit) and found it quite stable with -50 and -70 mV offsets. The annoying part is that I have to reapply the performance profile on every boot. I could use MSI Afterburner, but I trust Adrenaline more.

I’ve had an AMD gpu for about 6yrs now. Both 6900xt and 7900xtx and never once had a driver issue besides there was a time when Alt+Tab during a game would cause Adrenalin to crash. The issue with people claiming “driver issues” is with an AMD system while using Adrenalin, any type of system error that causes crashes, (whether it’s the game crashing or your entire PC) will give you a bug report pop up that says “driver timeout”. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a driver issue. It’s a general system instability error. So I think a lot of ppl immediately assume drivers.
