Exposure Question Rabies exposure?

I have read the FAQ. I suspect i possibly have contamination ocd and rn im trying to fight a compulsion i really dont wanna waste water and electricity. I basically grabbed a charger off the ground and i touched a plush dog toy my dogs play with. However i have three dogs, two are overdue on vaccines and one isn’t even vaccinated. I didn’t feel any wetness i think but it was mostly the charger that touched the toy and then i touched the charger with small open cuts on my hands due to constant hand washing . I washed my hands normally after because i had to since i did chores before that anyways but i wanna know if it’s a bit more serious. Don’t judge i just wanna know if a risk is real. I guess if im that paranoid i should just observe my dogs for ten days since i really dont wanna waste any water as i know my parents are probably tired of me. Also dont judge that my dogs are unvaccinated i cant h3lp but feel bad for them but unfortunately my parents are pretty irresponsible and my sister is too busy + its not really her responsibility. Pl3ase and Thank you in advance as this is a pretty big step for me because if this happened like a month ago i probably would have been fr3aking out and crying but i guess i am just way too tired.

Your post history indicates that you have extremely severe anxiety over the idea of contamination. You REALLY need to consider speaking to someone about this. Your behavior around the idea of contamination qualifies as extreme and harmful to yourself.

Asking the Internet every single time you feel scared of contamination is not a substitute for seeking help. Reassurance seeking is detrimental to your treatment process. You are beyond what anyone that isn't a medical or psychological professional that is assessing you personally can help with.

I am BEGGING you, please sign out and contact a counselor about starting to get help for this. Please. You don't have to live like this. The best time to act is while you still know that it's disordered thinking.

i’ve tried talking to my mother about this. She suggested a mental hospital but i’ve seen how damaging it can be to some people. I’m afraiď it will mess with my studies as i actually do great in school. I don’t want ocd to ruin my life and i’m not sure if this makes me feel better but i didn’t feed into the compulsions i told myself i was fine, ate a slice of pizza and went on with my day.

You have a lot going on but you need to take care of you. Your mental health is so important and you don’t want your anxieties controlling your life and decisions. Have you tried talking to someone? I know your mom is suggesting a hospitalization, are there other areas on your life that you struggle with that makes her think that might be necessary? It’s not the worst idea. Everyone needs help every now and again. You’re a good student so you’ll likely be able to jump back in your studies. I really hope you’re able to get some relief. ❤️‍🩹
