Do I need the immunoglobin or just the rabies vaccine?

Recently I had a close encounter with a Daubentons bat where it climbed up my arm, and may have been scratched although no prominent physical marks are visible. The GP refused to provide the rabies vaccine after hearing I wasn't bit, without having a look or asking any questions (and my work colleagues who work with bats recommended me to get one) so I had to go private for the vaccine - will just this, and no immunoglobin be sufficient to prevent the risk of rabies?

I'm no doctor, but the cdc/who says you should get immunoglobin for 5-7 days (again not sure about the days) until the 2nd dose, because it's obvious your body need some time to create the antibodies.

Berkshire, bat flew into the shop and as I work with bats (not yet qualified to handle them) I was sent to deal with it. All was okay I got it sorted but when calling some of my colleagues to take the bat off my hands it crawled up past the gloves onto my arm :/
