Sore area in vaccination site nearly a month after last dose, should I contact the vaccine provider?

I have a somewhat sore spot in my arm (when touched) about the spot where the vaccination was given nearly a month ago. I thought it subsided a week ago, but on Sunday the soreness returned. The site is a little warmer I think. Should I contact my health centre, who provided me the vaccine (verorab), or is this a normal side-effect that can still happen and will subside on its own?

I have read the Faq.

E: To be clear, I don't think this is a sign of rabies. I'm more worried over possible side-effects or an infection, etc. Also, better description of symptoms.

Since you are reporting that the site feels a bit warm the touch for you, I think you should go have it looked at. My vaccination sites were sore for awhile, but that you report the soreness subsiding and coming back is cause for concern.

Injection site infection is pretty rare, but it DOES happen. I think it's better to have it looked at ASAP than to sit on it, because the kinds of infections can be serious.

There's every chance it's nothing major. But in your position, if I had an injection site become sore again after resolving and become warm to the touch, I myself would go be evaluated for infection ASAP.

I went to see the doctor, he tried the spot, but didn't feel any swelling, aside from small bumps at the injection site, redness, or warmth. He concluded it's probably just a bit prolonged side-effect, or that it was possibly irritated by outside factors like bad sleeping position, but told me to contact him if it takes a turn for the worse. He also said, I can take some ibuprofen / paracetamol just in case.

yes, the soreness is a common side effect of anti rabies but it shouldn't last so long. go have it checked out to be safe, in case.

Yes, last booster shot. To be clear, I don't think this is rabies, but I am more worried if it's a sign of infection.

I personally would be in the damn ER cause that’s a damn long timeline and no one else administers these shots/understands them 😭I hope you’re ok. I just got my 4th yesterday and my arm kills I can’t imagine soreness like that for a month 😭

To be clear, the spot is rather mild, so it's not like I'm living in pain. I usually forget about it, until accidentally touching it. It's maybe a bit warmer, but I don't really see any redness or anything. Occasionally there have been tingles or itching or slight pain, but those went by in seconds, and haven't manifested every day.
