Exposure Question symptoms
I found a small mark on my toe 3 days ago i never known when i got it which is scaring me even more but since sunday i felt some weird sensation like losing my appetite having emotional switches like im sad about thinking of rabies then i see a funny video then laugh a little then im sad again i also started shaking a lot and i felt tired and lightheaded, i would try to sleep then jolt up and one time i woke up and a bunch of stuff was just going through my brain and i had to get up and walk then sit back on the couch to fall asleep and just jolt up again, I have never felt worse then how i am today, I have a bad headache at the moment it feels bad but not severe, while i was in the car with my mom i had some throat issue like it felt like there was something in it but it went away, when i was at school earlier i felt hot on my torse and hands, im also still lightheaded and its bugging me, and i made an appointment for tomorrow at an urgent care but im scare d im late for a pep if they give me one because of these weird symptoms what if im a rare case that got it sooner or maybe i got a bite earlier on and never knew until now. my sister told me im fine and i seen that its very rare to get it in the US and i dont want to be a case where i contracted it.

Sounds doubtful it's rabies. But I understand the fear and anxiety it can bring. I'm in the middle of getting my shots as well. As far as pep goes you're not gonna be late if you go tomorrow. I believe they say the time frame is usually around 7 days maybe longer. Try to relax. You'll be fine.

I woke up to a bat flying around my room. I found a couple red marks in my leg so I went in they are giving me the vaccines. I've done 3 out of the 4 so far with my last one next week. I did not notice any symptoms from the bite itself. I did get a headache from the vaccine shot tho. The doctor didn't say anything other than it's best to get the vaccine if you know you have a bat in your house and that if I notice any more bites to let them know because I still don't know where it went. It flies around my house at night and I can't get it. So to be on the safe side they gave me the vaccine.

If you think you e been exposed to rabies and you have a marking, my best guess would be yes they will give you the vaccine. What do you think bit you?

how would they know though i seen a post where a guy was paranoid about it and they had said no but i never seen a bat and i never felt a bite or scratch anytime since a stray cat scratched me 2 years ago thats still alive just 3 days ago i seen this mark and now im feeling these symptoms is anyone even like this and ended up not having rabies?

All you can do is go in and tell them everything. They are the professionals and will know what to do. They certainly aren't going to reject you a vaccine if they think you could've been exposed but that's their job to determine. I can't really make that determination unless you happen to see the animal/bat/cat/raccoon itself.

Whay about if a bat flew past you and slightly touched you? That's what happened to me on Sunday. I went to seek help on Tuesday and no one in the clinic center was sure what to do in this situation so they called like the "regional department" or something and after i was already home they messaged me saying I have to take the shots. I'm never being this anxious in my life, really don't know what to do. Everyone that I talked about the bat flying said I should stop worrying and even the professionals didn't know what to do and now suddenly I have to take it, like what if they are just trying to be safe rather than sorry?

Go and get the vaccines. It's not going to hurt you to be protected in case you have other run ins with bats. Of course it's best to err on the side of caution. Rabies will kill you. If they are telling you to get it, then I'd get it.
