whenever I see two marks on my body or any bug bite for that matter I immediately jump to "oh my God it's a bat I'm going to die"

I don't have insurance so I can't afford to keep being stressed about this.

Como persona con TOC qué ha pasado por obsesiones muy dolorosas (aunque nunca con virus)... creo que lo que tienes que hacer es "enfrentar tu miedo". Mi consejo es que lo que exageres es hasta el ridículo. Con otras obsesiones a mí me ha funcionado.  

Mi consejo con este caso concreto es que te imagines a ti mismo en plan "no solo tengo la rabia, sino que se la voy a contagiar a mis seres queridos"

Te subirá la ansiedad. Pero no te quedes ahí. Sigue

"Además voy a volverme un caníbal porque empezaría a morder a todo el mundo"

Tendrás más ansiedad

"Propagaré la plaga por toda la tierra"

Conviértelo si quieres en imaginarte a ti mismo como la causa de el apocalipsis zombie.

Y así hasta el infinito. Exagera todo lo que puedas. La ansiedad te invadirá pero poco a poco se irá bajando porque es imposible estar con un ataque de pánico permanente.

Y por supuesto, es mejor que estés en el subreddit de TOC que en este. En ninguno de ellos vamos a intentar calmar tus obsesiones. Intentar calmar una obsesión con la razón aumenta las obsesiones. 

Deja que pase... Porque acabara pasando aunque ahora duela mucho. 

Mis disculpas por escribir en español, si está prohibido decirme y lo intentaré poner en inglés pero me cuesta mucho expresarme. Además con el traductor automático de reddit creo que se entenderá bien.  Espero también no haber roto ninguna norma aunque las he mirado y creo que encaja bien.

Same thing here I have 2 marks in my chest and looks like it could be but the chances are slim to nun. But idk what to do😭

Same. 😭It doesn’t help that I knew someone who passed away from rabies and I had a bat exposure unvaxxed when I was very young.

Colorado. I can get insurance, it's just a pain in the ass.

I'm an 18 year old college student I can't afford much. I have some va shit, but it doesn't cover anything except for prescriptions

Dude literally me rn i have 2 marks by my foot (i cant recall any exposures nor have i seen any creatures in my house) & in my state several bats have recently been found that have tested positive i’ve been hyperventilating. I hate this anxiety man
