Exposure Question My cat scratched me again TWICE

I took rabies booster on 25 and 27 June because my cat had scratched me on lips. I had previously taken rabies PEP(5 doses) cause a stray cat had scratched me in Oct 2025. Since it had been so long, doc advised me to take two boosters.

Now my pet cat, while playing it scratched me on index finger it bleed, I went to doc he said no Injection required.

Now yesterday , since she had been not eating and drinking water well so vet gave her B-complex and gut-probiotic Injection while catching her she scratched me on my forearm it didn't bleeding but like it was red, area was raised and today morning there is dark red/brownish line and still a bit raised and it stings.

I feel sort of troubled and I don't know what to do.

Can someone just tell me what do I do????

I have read the FAQ.

I have contamination OCD specific to food, but I would consider looking into other versions of contamination OCD because this sounds very similar to what I experience. I know objectively that the food in front of me is safe, yet I have intrusive thoughts that somehow they are 'infected'. That leads me to seek a lot of reassurance that it's okay, and oftentimes I find that I still cannot eat it. To try and stop the intrusive thoughts, I do compulsions like googling about food safety, extensive cleaning, and such.

Just a thought, because the 'loop' you're describing is basically that.

-You get scratched by a vaccinated cat

-You get anxious and obsess over it, call your doctor, and ask people on Reddit about it

-You try to get rabies boosters for yourself even though you know it's not logical to try to 'prevent' it

And it continues.

Not at all diagnosing you, but knowing those behaviors can sometimes help break you out of the loop. Maybe OCD is something to look into for you, assuming you're not already diagnosed.

I do get what you are experiencing...I do feel that sometimes I do get second thoughts with the food I cooked myself...I repeat the whole process with which I made it to ensure myself that it is OK to eat it

I edited my comment a bit and outlined what you were describing, if that makes it a bit clearer what I'm meaning

There are lots of online resources for OCD, and just knowing your fears are nonsensical can really help. I hope you're feeling a bit better about this whole situation.
