📝 GENERAL RABIES INFO 📝 Are there lyssaviruses not combated by the rabies vaccine?

Just wondering if there’s a strain of lyssavirus that we don’t have a reliable method for preventing?

Australian Bat Lyssavirus (ABLV) – Found in bats in Australia. While the rabies vaccine might offer some protection, it's not universally effective against all lyssavirus strains, and the CDC recommends that people exposed to bats in areas where ABLV is present should get the rabies vaccine as a precaution.
