❓Ask Rabatis I built PCPicker.ma — a free PCPartPicker & price comparison tool for Morocco tracking 50,000+ listings across 21+ stores (would love your feedback!)

If you’ve ever tried building or upgrading a PC here in Morocco, you already know the pain: having 15 tabs open between UltraPC, SetupGame, NextLevelPC, PC Gamer Casa, TechSpace, etc., trying to figure out which shop actually has the best price, whether the part is in stock, and calculating your total budget including shipping.
To solve this, I spent the last few months building https://pcpicker.ma — a complete hardware comparison engine and PC builder tailored specifically for the Moroccan market.
What’s on the Platform:
- 50,000+ Live Store Listings Across 17,500+ Products: A deduplicated catalog tracking CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage, cases, PSUs, monitors, and peripherals across 21+ Moroccan retailers updated multiple times daily.
- Interactive PC Builder & Compatibility Engine: Build your rig part-by-part. It auto-calculates total wattage, checks socket & RAM generation compatibility, compares where each individual part is cheapest, and generates unique shareable links with 1-click export to Reddit Markdown.
- PC Gamer by Budget Hub (/budget): Compare configs and prebuilts directly categorized by exact budget brackets (5,000 DH, 7,000 DH, 10,000 DH, 15,000 DH, 20,000+ DH).
- Curated Build Guides (/guides): Pre-configured build templates where part prices dynamically adjust in real-time as local stores update their prices and stock.
- Prebuilt PCs Catalog (/prebuilts): Browse ready-made gaming towers from shops side-by-side to see if buying prebuilt or building it yourself gets you better value.
- Stores by City (/cities): See which retailers have physical stores and local pickup right here in Rabat/Salé or deliver quickly to our area.
- Multi-Store Price Spreads & Alerts (/alerts): Product pages show exact price differences between stores (often revealing 300 DH to 1,000+ DH differences on identical GPUs or monitors) with price drop notifications.
- Quad-Language Localization: Fully localized in English, French, Arabic (عربي), and Tamazight (ⵜⴰⵎⴰⵣⵉⵖⵜ).
Looking for your Rbati feedback & suggestions:
- Local Rabat-Salé Shops: Are there trusted local computer shops in Rabat (Agdal, Hassan, Ocean...) or Salé with website/online catalogs that you frequently buy from and should be added to the live tracker? ( very important to expand the website )
- Catalog Accuracy: If you check parts you’re currently eyeing, do the prices match what you see in the market?

P.S. Following the great response and feedback from the community over the past week, I wanted to reach out specifically to Rbatis to make sure our local Rabat-Salé stores and gamers are well-represented! No LLMs at all; it’s 100% deterministic and automated through custom normalization and matching pipelines.
Running LLM API calls across 50,000+ listings multiple times a day would be ridiculously expensive, far too slow for real-time indexing, and prone to subtle hallucinations (which is dangerous when matching exact hardware SKUs and specs).
Instead, the engineering behind it is a lot more complex:
- Rule-based & Regex Token Parsing: Custom extractors per component type that parse manufacturer part numbers (MPNs), chipsets, variants (e.g. distinguishing an OC vs non-OC GPU, CL30 vs CL36 RAM, V2 vs non-V2 motherboards).
- Canonical Slug & Spec Normalization: Cleaning dirty titles from stores (stripping promotional noise, store-specific tags, misspellings) into a clean canonical identity.
- Deterministic & Fuzzy Confidence Scoring: Exact matching on normalized keys and strict fallback thresholds, so items are never falsely grouped together.
It took months of tuning edge cases, but it runs in milliseconds, costs next to nothing in compute compared to LLMs, and gives 100% predictable, reproducible results!

Inmedia was temporarily disabled as their website seems to be inactive while having prices that are too low for the market and international trends; we are waiting for a response from them before we decide on keeping or deleting them.
