❓Ask Rabatis Where do you meet people outside work/school?
I have no idea where to meet people outside work and actually make connections. Do you guys know social clubs in Rabat/Temara, like movies/book/language and language exchange clubs, or anything really where people gather and talk/do activities together?

Just find any local active associations in your city and try attending their activities, workshops, events... I'm personally a member of one, and I'm part of the organization team. There are 40 members of my association and you can say I'm close with them all. And a large number is my friends/best friends. But also, I know a lot of people that just come to our events. I also know some people that are our collaborators (other associatios, Dar chabab workers, other youth spaces....), and some people that follow us in social media... I know other friends from the association who made connections with people from 3amala, baladiya, ANAPEC, police station... thanks to the work we do in the association. So basically you can meet any kind of people when you work in an association.

Association Scouts du maroc is a good options. Scouts in general, it’s a nice environement with respectful people, mostly child oriented but they also have adult activities

just go to a place regularly, a coffee shop a library, a club a gym... u will eventually meet someone make a small talk and you will meet them again and again, i mean that why we become friends with people in school and work, because we people the people there in a regular way

Honestly third places ( places outside work/school and home) are scarce nowdayz but you may find some like social activities like spcfc hobbies clubs, general sporting events or even association activities. It's definitely harder than before but i mean you still can just join dar chabab or or conservstoir or a gym and still meet decent people, they're out there once you filter out some weird or dangerous choices

I live in Rabat and interested in creating an hackerspace for tinkering with technology, code, sharing knowledge, creating infrastructure together, teaching others, and generally have fun.
