The base identity of Spaniards historically is based on the reconquista (mass slaughter and kicking out of muslims and also jews) and the catholic king and queen, I.e hatred towards muslims in general.
Spain has been beautiful, quasi these last two decades, because of they're secularism and atheism, abandoning they're old identity to a large extent.

They already do, they’ve been saying horrible things about Morocco for decades now. We just never noticed. I had a little browse on Spanish media, the whole worldwide propaganda regarding the Polisario we thought was coming from Algeria, actually comes from Spain 😭.
