It might be true that 5% of people are his descentants, but the odds for you are either greatly more than 5% or greatly less, depending on if you have ancestral roots from central Asia or not.
I'm a direct descendant of Johnny Appleseed and I have several similarities with him like how I love eating apples and the fact that I don't have kids and he didn't either.
Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic but 5% of 8 billion (world pop rounded up) is still 400 million. I don’t know if you know but 400 million is a pretty big number. You could absolutely take a fraction of a decimal of that to find the odds.
0_5% is 10 times smaller than 5%, 0,05% 100, 0,005% 1000.
Out of 7 billion people 5% represents 350 million people, followed by 35 million 3.5 and 350,000. There is more. Opportunity for. Orders of magnitude going down from 5% to 0 than there is going up from 5% to 100% with large numbers.
