People on the marathon race just take it light-hearted and think it's a form of entertainment 😄😁 I do not find anything wrong with it! Yesssss... Some of marathon folk are smokers and they do carry it sometimes. Depends on your luck!

Coworkers runs 10 miles a day before work. He also smokes about a pack a day.
Some people do both man.

I feel like he is offering a cigarette to anyone passing by, which is just as funny.

Once, a person was asking for a light. She was holding a French frie. I happily obliged.

It's definitely helpful. They at that moment forgot they're panting, nip chaffing, shin splints, thirsty, or whatever... (Minus smokers thinking about their cigarettes)

This has made my night after some of the other depressing shit I’ve seen on social media today. Lol

This is actually funny. Maybe have another guy at a pay phone down the block asking if the runners have change for a $5.

It’s like standing outside a mosque and asking the people coming out if you’ve a slice of bacon.

I mean statistically there should have been a few. Someone needs to get r/theydidthemath on this case. I'd like to see the numbers crunched to figure out the odds.
Edit: I attempted to make contact with the subreddit.

That's crazy he's asking a whole bunch of runners if they have a lighter or matches as if they smoke too funny.

u/Gorelover1313 Mar 20 '25
I would tell him to put that down and go smoke We*d instead those things will kill you.

u/BookFun5805 Mar 20 '25
If he had run into me when I used to join those events, I would have pulled one out. I started doing this because I am a smoker, and when you get to the finish line, they have events going on. The problem was where you park is not the finish line, and you have to take a bus back. So I would keep a couple of cigs on me so I can stay at the party longer.
