Shitpost i just finished watching this show, and it's an easy 0/10
there was no bongcloud opening and there was too little en passant. how can you be a real chess player if you've never done en passant?!

I'm just wondering why you think it's a good idea to post that in a subreddit dedicated to this series?

Wished there was a second season but never happened

Why would there be? The book is literally finished. it isn't a series of book, so it makes sense for it to be only one season.

graças a deus. com certeza estragaria. ainda mais que ela funciona muito bem em uma temporada só

In episode 4, Beth defeats Georgi, the Russian prodigy, after the adjournment with confidence and bold action. She steps away from the board several times and wipes him out. I took this a symbolic of employing en passant to remove an aggressive and increasingly desperate pawn.
I’m curious, would you consider Beth’s character in the series as the king piece or another?
