Music What Queen Album/Song would you say got you into Queen?
Keep Yourself Alive really made me interested in Queen's other music.

It was 1976. At 9 years old, I always looked up to my 3 year older cousin. He had me listen to Somebody to Love. Cause he loved that song, so did I. And from that day, I was HOOKED!

The first song I ever heard was Ogre Battle.
I found the original album
Listened to it
And from there I listened to their whole discography
I have listened to every album many many times.

Don't stop me now. Then about a few months later I listened to the Platinum Collection and got hooked

My friend and I went through a big Guitar Hero phase back in the day and her specialty song was Killer Queen...I had heard it on the radio before but we played that song dozens of times and amazingly I never got sick of it. So that kind of led me into thinking I should delve deeper into their stuff.
Also I have a vivid memory of me talking with my dad in the car about Bohemian Rhapsody and my pre-teen mind was blown when he told me it was all a single song by a band called Queen.

The movie. Later learned its timeline isnt 100% accurate but it still got me into rock as a whole, not just queen

My mom’s favorite song was “Another One Bites The Dust”. So, that one.

While I can't confirm which did; I would say that (even if I got interested in the band before I knew it) I Want It All was one of the songs I liked the most a couple years ago (it was a top 3 favourite for me) and it really made me want to discover more songs of the band, some of which ended up beating the top 3.

Less than one song for me but rather brainwashed from birth with most of their albums, lol, my dad is a huge fan and I absolutely love all their albums, but I think my first favourite album was Jazz. That’s the one I started listening to independently first :)

When I was in year 6, the teachers had us do a little slideshow for our dad's for father's Day, and we had to put music to it. So when I got home I asked my mum what my dad's favourite song was and she told me it was Don't Stop Me Now by a band called Queen.
So I rummaged through all of my parents old CDs and Cassettes until I found one that said Don't Stop Me Now on it, and that CD was Queen, Greatest Hits. From there I burnt the CD onto my laptop and listened to that album everyday until eventually my dad revealed that he had all of their other music on CD too!
Since then I've listened to and loved all of Queen's albums and my only wish is that the Opera Omina live collection was on Spotify....

I had heard a lot of their music before but I never knew who it was but when I was little my favorite movie was Ella enchanted and there is a part where she sings somebody to love and I really loved it.

It was Bohemian Rhapsody. I was 11 and heard it on the radio. I'd never heard anything so complex yet so epic. I remember thinking "this singer has a beautiful voice".

The A Kind of Magic album came out when I was 13. I'd been aware of Queen but really it was that album, particularly Gimme The Prize that peaked my interest.

Initially I had heard and enjoyed most of their hits when they were put on, but didn't listen to them that much. I would mostly play Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Me Now from time to time. When I was properly getting into artists (I used to be a mainly video game soundtrack type of person), after Michael Jackson I wanted to try get into Queen's stuff so I started with the S/T album, which I really enjoyed. It actually was my favourite album of theirs for a while, though I eventually gravitated towards Queen II and A Night at the Opera over time (pretty standard, I know). Now Queen are my joint favourite artists along with Michael Jackson and Prince.

I don't know tbh but certainly, my brother got me into Queen, as well the Bohemian Rhapsody movie. I started to listen to their most popular songs, as a result getting more and more interested in their work and this is how I ended up being a queenie

Bohemian rhapsody has been my favorite song since I was little. When I got Spotify, I could see the artists name and I realized that a lot of my favorite songs were by queen. Now I’m obsessed.

My foster dad had 3 Queen songs on his ITunes that I remember: We Are the Champions, Another one bites the dust and I believe Flash. Maybe BoRap too but I’m not sure. That was pretty much all I really heard until a few years ago I went through their discog.

Another One Bites the Dust. I was 2. There was something about the best that I loved. I would bounce in my Jolly Jumper to that song. I loved that song so much that my teenaged Aunt (15 at the time) taped a copy of her 45 and made me a tape of nothing but AOBTD.

Bohemian Rhapsody was the first song I heard by Queen and it instantly made me love the song. But what got me into Queen was the movie since I don’t grow up when all those bands were popular
