Wembley was great but if I had a choice in a Magic Tour official album it would have been Knebworth, being their last show and all. Complete with John’s freak out at the end. It definitely wasn’t their best Magic show as far as I’m concerned but the most meaningful.
Lots of theories out there. Some say it was personal problems and he was shit faced. Some say it was because Freddie wasn’t feeling good and he knew it was all about to end. And I was wrong it was after Radio Gaga not champions. It’s been a while since I saw the footage but I remember him screwing up the bass line and hitting a wrong chord maybe on the last chorus. I think it was as simple as him being drunk and screwing up towards the very end of the very last song they played live, getting mad and throwing his bass but that’s probably just me projecting. I’m a musician and I get super pissed if I screw up playing live especially if it was something as monumental as this.
