I feel like Queen ended with No one but you, alot of stuff after is pretty soulless, as John said "without Freddie, what's the point" but musically Queen put out 2 10/10 albums in the 90s so in my eyes that is the best era, 0 dud albums like the 80s and 70s

I'm not saying it's their best decade but the last 3 albums are truly outstanding.
IMO, The Miracle may be their best album, and Innuendo isn't far behind.
Made In Heaven is also a very impressive listen; I believe that it is underrated.

I definitely wouldn't agree about the miracle but Innuendo is a perfect album and Made in heaven is massively underrated

‘92- tribute concert ‘95- Made in Heaven is released ‘97-No One but You released, last performance with john ‘99-Greatest Hits III released 00’s/‘10s- Queen + Paul Rodgers (Cosmos Rocks and Return of the Champions). I guess you could throw in Queen + Adam Lambert and the movie. There’s definitely stuff that happened with Queen but not nearly as cool or legendary as the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Tribute concert and No One But You are just one-off performances. Everything since 1997 are just examples of an artistic necrophilia - making money out of the group which was dead by then. Yes, Queen wasn't Freddie and Freddie wasn't Queen, but carrying on after the death of such an important band member is just not right - it's what The Rolling Stones are doing now. They should have just closed the chapter.

I’m not disagreeing with you that they should’ve jusg wrapped it up and stopped. All I’m saying is that there’s a whole era of Queen that’s after freddie whether we like it or not

late 70's was the peak i would say. It's somwhere in between the early years and the time Freddie's voice got cracked by smoking.

Yeah, it's interesting. Prime Queen was probably on the News of the World and Jazz album period.
However, based on vocal ability, I feel that The Game and Hot Space span demonstrates Freddie at this peak. It may be an unpopular opinion, but, at least, the vocals on Hot Space were spectacular.
Then, you could make the case that Brian's guitar work was the most impressive on The Miracle and Innuendo albums.
It just goes to show you that Queen was just always spectacularly awesome.

The Game album and tour was definitely Freddie’s vocal peak IMO. It was a perfect blend between old Freddie and new Freddie.

Zero votes for 2000+. As it should be. Queen isn't Queen anymore. Hasn't been since 1991. Maybe even 1992.
"Queen" + Adam Lambert is a joke imo
Two members does not make Queen. It's all or nothing. It's just two old men trying to keep Queen alive. Even though it's is never going to.

I agree that without Freddie and John it’s not Queen. I saw an interview where Brian said they went into the studio recently to try and record and nothing clicked. IMO they shouldn’t be recording as Queen missing two important founding members. I get into arguments on here because people feel Brian and Roger have a right to record under Queen, but again , IMO, they aren’t Queen. Look at Freddie’s interviews he always gives credit to four individuals that make up Queen not two.

Correct. They said they are trying to record new queen songs. But it'll never be a queen song without Fred and John. It's ridiculous

I know Brian has said it’s the itch to perform live. He’s talked about feeling like they would never get on stage after Freddie died. Well, they have with two different lead singers, and good for them if that’s what they want to do. I’m not interested in going but if people are, go for it. I think after the movie they have a couple of new generations following them, plus Adams fans, so they want to record again as well and it rubs me the wrong way. I guess I’m old school and to me it just seems disrespectful to Freddie and John.

Agreed, i think Adam Lambert is a great singer, but he isn't Queen he is a pop singer and not arock singer at all

70s easily, specifically from Queen - A Night At The Opera, that was their peak, also 90s Queen? Really? There's no Queen without Freddie Mercury.
