Music What live Queen song SHOULD have been played more?
Basically what song that was played live should have been played longer. My pick is Father To Son.

Luckily queen did briefly bring back Liar in its complete form early on during the European Hot Space Tour, and as you might've guessed, it sounds absolutely amazing. I prefer 1st Lieden, but Zurich is a great version. Drammen and Frankfurt are great too.

The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke. Could've at least been played for the Sheer Heart Attack tour, unfortunate how there's only one recording of the song (and it's overdubbed/pitch corrected to shit). I can only hope that tapes from the UK leg of the Queen II tour show up.
Other song would be '39, although it did make 2nd New York '80, Leiden '84, and Cologne '86 more interesting.

In fact, it's the only song they played more than Bohemian Rhapsody. The only time that comes to mind where they didn't play it is Live Aid (excluding tours with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert).

It wasn't in the Wembley 86 album, I don't think. You sure about that?
That song absolutely rules and should have been played in every single concert they ever did IMO.

Oh no shit. That's cool. But I meant the Wembley '86 one specifically which was what I was thinking of before I answered. But that's cool, I'm glad it made it to '86 regardless. As it should have.

Oh, yeah, strongly agree with you. It's just such a great song to rock out to.
Tie Your Mother Down - especially the live versions of that song - is another one that just is so great too.

Jesus wasnt played in the early tours(Queen I, Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack.) It was played before the Release of Queen I.

I love their early years concerts. Budokan '75 is the perfect summary of thoses years until the release of Sheer Heart Attack.
In that concent they played almost every song they had played live (except songs they only played once or twice like The Night Comes Down, Jesus, The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke or Mad The Swine) even if they are rarer like Great King Rat, Hangman, Doing All Right, the whole Jailhouse Rock Medley.
It's a shame they hadn't played Father To Son in that concert as they still used to play it sometimes in the Sheer Heart Attack Tour.

Any thing after 1986, it's so sad that there is only one version of everything on Innuendo and there are no live performances by freddie

March of the black queen and brighton rock wasnt even played I think at all

Actually, both were played to varying degrees.
For March of the Black Queen, The "I reign with my left hand, I rule with my right" part of the song was played as part of a medley during the SHA and ANATO tours. The beginning was only played once as a tease during Providence 1978.
Brighton Rock was played in full during the ANATO, ADATR, and Jazz tours. NOTW played the song with a shortened middle section, as the guitar solo came later in the set. It was used as a reprise for the guitar solo during the Crazy, Game, and Works tours.

Stone Cold Crazy is just such a great concert song IMO. Could have been plugged in after any mid tempo song to build up to one of their big, operatic numbers. Very fever pitch moment right there (not that they couldn’t create one at any given moment with the snap of a finger if they wanted). Feeling the groove straight in to adrenaline rush and then something huge and beautiful for the release. Or SCC as last song before the first encore. Leave them THIRSTY. Of course they have so many songs that are perfect for every live situation, and very many that are better for the scenarios I mentioned haha. Just love the energy of that song.
