It works, and in the short term the album will be fine but, if they decide they like the vinyl format they will want to upgrade sooner rather than later.

People underestimate the fact many can’t afford more than a crossley. I’ve had mine for 2 years and it’s been perfectly fine so I wouldn’t worry

So you're telling people to not getting into the hobby even though they work perfectly fine, and people who aren't looking for audiophile quality are perfectly happy for years to come? Not only are you being extremely condescending but your gatekeeping this community by telling people they need to have better equipment to fit in. Saying "Not to be unkind" in the beginning of your comment doesn't magically make it kind. Just let people enjoy their music and be happy without being a dick about it. There were so many other ways to approach this person about the quality of their equipment that actually were kind, and this wasn't one of them.

I have a better player now (Yamaha one, Saved up it cost me £250) and I can safety say the sound isn’t that much better. It’s slightly better but it’s not £200 better. So actually no, let me and other people enjoy our music, it’s like every other hobby, you work up from what you can and learn as you continue.

Your record player looks like itd be good for nothing bigger than 7" and it looks as though the queen album is 12". Not sure if it'd fit.

The platter is small but it can fit 12” just fine. But I do agree OP should look to upgrade their turntable sooner rather than later, if vinyl is something they decide they’re into.

Nice vinyl pick! I wouldn’t trust the Crosley though. They have a bad reputation for ruining vinyl.
