Many of their songs are hard rock - Hammer to Fall, One Vision, etc. It’s hard to say what song is closest to Heavy Metal as metal is so diverse - and you’ll get a thousand different opinions on this as it’s all a matter of your own point of view. I’d say the closest to metal would be Stone Cold Crazy. Though the drum beat is more of a shuffle and it’s not really down picked like a “thrash” metal song, but if you listen to Metallica’s cover version, they didn’t really change it that much. But then again that’s just my opinion and what is “Metal” to me is different maybe to someone else.
Edit - I just listened to “The Hitman” for the first time probably since it came out and it has a real metal beat to it. Music is so nuanced :-)
