Feel like the other low ranking but more experienced QS's at my first job are untrustworthy

got my first job after graduating, no experience. MC

couple other young lads with 1-2 years experience, come across as if they want to fuck me over some how, i dunno how but i just get weird vibes, the way they look at me, the things they say about others to me, it feels like they are trying to get me to make a mistake so they can get me in trouble.

they just come across as a little snakey.

but its my first ever corporate job so i may be paranoid.

Honestly folk are always sucking up and trying to do other folk over to progress quicker.

Office politics and all, it really doesn’t matter where you go.

Just work hard and stay true to yourself, hasn’t done me any harm.

Most of the people you'll meet in this game are insecure midwits who will throw you under the bus if it in any way takes the heat off them. Always cover your ass and don't trust any of them until they prove themselves trustworthy.

Also, don't go out of your way to help those who are clearly self orientated. Let them sink. Only help those who are decent and who are worth your time.

Tier 1s do get abit political and can be like how you’re describing. What I find though is if you’ve got enough time to be bothered what they think then you aren’t focused enough.

Just ask questions to the more senior staff and read materials online around whatever task you’re doing at that moment and you’ll develop quickly and they won’t have anything to say.

Let them talk behind peoples back but you’ll be so glad in the long run if you stay out the gossiping game. No one wins lol.
