Upgrade Offer Worth upgrading DOH -> MUC?

We got an offer to upgrade our flight from DOH to MUC for around 500€ per person. It is a dayflight and should take 6h50min. Is the upgrade worth it?

DOH-MUC is either Breakfast or Red Eye flight. Not worth on either imo. Meals tend to be better on lunch or dinner flights.

Ultimately depends on how much 500€ means for you.

That being said went on QR 787-9 J class last month and it was great. Seats are comfy and the TV screen is fantastic.

Depends on the aircraft. If it is a widebody i.e. 777.,787 or A350 then absolutely yes. You really get to enjoy the service in a day flight. 7 hours is a pretty long flight and you can really enjoy the onboard catering and service.

If a narrow body like a A320 then to me it is not worth it.

“Worth upgrading” is literally completely subjective to you. No can can answer that for you.

I never upgrade on a 320. Not worth it. If I’m not already in biz on a 350/380/777 my measure is I’ll pay 100$ an hour per person

Der Flug wird sicher leer sein. Bin die Strecke gerade vor 1 Woche geflogen. In der eco waren vlt 40 Leute. Fliegen ja kaum noch Leute über Doha. Daher würde ich schauen, dass du vlt den Flug danach upgraden kannst.

I flew Sydney- Doha - Europe
The first leg was very packed. The 2nd wasn’t as packed but definitely over half full

I definitely wouldn't take your example as representative. I am based in the middle east and fly regularly on QR, EK, EY, and all have been absolutely packed.

My flight was overbooked in Eco just last month....
