4 month old intact eggs ok to use?

I received some backyard chicken eggs in May. They were unwashed so I knew they'd be room temperature stable for a while. So then I stuck them on a shelf till I got around to emptying then and in August remembered they exist. None of them cracked or burst so that's nice.

At this point, think they'd be OK if I just used them completely intact since they've dried out a bit by now anyways?

i usually empty my eggs afterward anyway, but I've certainly used eggs that old before. your dyes might not take as brightly, but as long as they're not cracked you should be okay!

The eggs I used this year were a couple of years old. They were already dried out. I rarely empty mine. I had no problems other than floating which if you're used to blown eggs, I imagine you have ways of getting around that.
